Life Journey
Pastor Troy Evans (Known as PE) has been married to LaDawn for 25 years, becoming the father of 5 biological children and has embraced 5 young people from his ministry as his own sons and daughter. PE is a former gang member/leader that was indicted during a grand jury investigation. After being released from jail, he fled from West Michigan to the south after receiving many death threats. Soon after the trama became too much to bare and he broke mentally and emotionally. He became homeless, living in the back of a U-Haul truck. Years later, PE made his way to Detroit, Michigan where he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and began serving in the local church.
Career
With only a 6th grade education, he became an IT Engineer working for some of Detroit’s top corporations, and later started a Staffing company. PE has planted four churches and coached dozens of leaders, church planters, and small business owners around the world. He also served as the Urban Church Planting Catalyst For The Wesleyan Denomination in the US. PE spent three years travelling to England to start an Urban Church Planting Network. He has become a national speaker and the go-to person in the area of urban church planting, urban ministry, small business start up and leadership development across the country. He is also the co-owner of Hustle Pray Eat.
Achievements
He was featured twice on 700 Club and appeared in several national TV shows and publications throughout the years. He has been a TEDx speaker. PE curently serves as Lead Pastor of a multi-ethnic church called The EDGE whose mission is to reach those in the Hip hop Culture. He has also released his first book, EDGE of Redemption, which is currently being used by universities, churches, and denominations in the US and England.
